This is the tank i bought and after 3 weeks of trying to figure out exactly what brand it is I can't find anything. There are no marks on it although it does look like a larger version of the JBJ Picotope.

How many gallons is it? Or Dimensions?

Finnex tank perhaps?

Does it have rounded corners in the front? I think Finnex are square, at least the glass ones.

It does have a pretty similar design. And it does have rounded corners although the return is at the very bottom on the right hand corner. I'll measure it today. to give you dimensions.

Hey I added the new rock to. It looks even better with the new rock in it. I can't wait to put the BTA in it and then the clowns. Such a long wait :(

T5 lights right?

How do you like the tank?

How do you like the length over having a cube?

My brother-in-law and myself have been eye balling that tank....but weren't sure about having length over a cube.....

What do you like about it and what would you like to see differently about it?

Ya its T5's but they work great for that tank. As far as this size over a cube I like the rimless look although there is a decent amount of evaporation but I'm gonna order the glass top for it to see if that helps with it or not.

Once I got the temp stable it has stayed where it needs to be although in the beginning there was a lot of fluctuation.

I like the length because it gives me just a little more room to aqua scape.

About the only difference I'd made is where the return is on mine. Its not higher up in the back like the new ones its in the bottom right corner and most of my sand bed covers it. Also I needed Rock Rubble around my pump to cut down on micro bubbles. I do love the thickness of the glass and the seamless front makes a beautiful display. Its a great tank over all but next time I'll buy bigger.

Ya know I didnt think of it when we talked but putting a cover on it with the same lights...will trap the heat in more...

Am I wrong y'all?

no drgnbttrfly is right, adding a glass top will trap in the heat, if your tank is running hot or high allready I would try a mesh top, or something else. The mesh tops will not help with evaporation if thats what your going for, but it will help keep jumper fish in. adding a ATO will help out a lot more for evaporatoin problems

I am gonna try the top and see if that helps with the evap. its more because thats a 20 dollar fix instead of a 120 dollar fix and it will keep me from loosing fish or the dog trying to drink out of the tank (I caught him this morning) Also with the heat if i need to I can always unplug the heater during the day while the lights are on and then plug it in at night. Since there aren't any fish in it currently i feel a little more comfortable playing with the tank I dont want to place fish in the tank until I know i've got everything pretty stable.

i'd go with a top, just put the heater and lights on an alternating timer. as long as the ambient temperature in the room isn't too high you should be ok.
