Hi All,
My wife was up in SA and decided to surprise me with a few things. She came home with this rock. It was sold as ricordea....there are about 20+ on the rock and she only paid $34...Initially, after she told me the price, I thought she just got some form of hairy mushrooms that were labeled as rics...but now that they've been in the tank for a little bit....I think they might actually be ricordea. These will be my first ricordea specimen...so I need some insight. What do y'all think.

They look like rics to me. That looks like a great deal! Where did she find it.

She got them at Aquarium Designs. How do the Yumas rate compared to the Floridas? Are they more common...which would explain the pricing? I think once these are in my tank for a few days and open up a bit more, they'll look pretty nice. There are a few large, several medium sized, and several small.
BTW...sorry for the pic quality...it's just a P&S Sony.

Huge score! Very nice :applause:
Yumas are typically much more expensive than ricordeas. I'd say you be hard pressed to find a tiny single yuma polyp for $34, let alone a whole rock!

LOL...yeah, I guess I'll keep her...my wife has recently got "the bug"...usually one of us will keep the other in check regarding hobbies and financing them. This could be very dangerous.
The rock does have about 20 or so rics...a lot of them are really small though. How fast do they grow?
