JBJ ATO pumps question

I was wondering can you use any type of pump for a jbj ATO unit? I think the standard one used is a aqualifter pump but i was wondering about other pumps like Maxi jets mini jets etc.

You can you Maxi Jets and others. A friend of mine used a Maxi Jet to pump water from across his bedroom to his tank. Check the manual and see what the limits are for the switchable outlet. It may have a wattage/amp limit.
