Because of my height restrictions, I'm taking a look at a TUNZE DOC Skimmer 9210. Any first hand knowledge, advice or opinion on these would be greatly appreciated.

I had a 9205 on a 75 gallon years ago and it worked ok. It produced some sludge, but I guess I was expecting more. The passive skimming just didn't cut it, so I used it in conjunction w/a standard venture skimmer for best results.

It was relatively easy to use and adjust the air/water mixture. But, it was some trouble to get the skimmer positioned and keep the water level for the unit where it needed to be. The mounting kit was flimsy so you'll either need to silicone the brackets to your sump or build some kind of platform like I did.

I think in all honesty, it was a good skimmer, but my expectations were way, way too high, because of the brand.
