Well i reached my hand in to my tank to night and got the crap zapped out of me. man it hurt looked around and everyone was acting normally, I started unplugging powerheads one by one and was still getting zapped. unpluged the skimmer and wham didn't get zapped. Its not worth it to me to buy another pump so I will just get a new skimmer. My current skimmer is a crapola modded seaclown. Never been zapped like that in water it scared the crap outta me.

Get a grounding probe!
I run a EuroReef rs135. It ROCKS. How are the zoas? I hope they take off like they have for me.

i wouldn't get a grounding probe because once you give the voltage a place to ground it could potentially nuke everything in your tank. Stray voltage= fish swimming grounded voltage=fish dead

zoas are good. I have them mounted to a shell so we will see if they take off.

Never been zapped.....I can't imagine that it would be very much fun...I also wanted to commend you in your dedication to finding the culprit. Not sure I could have kept getting zapped....:hypnotyized:

Yeah well i don't have a multimeter or i would have used that. heck I have been popped with 440 on the boat nothing like touching something with your hands and having a hole burn through the bottom of your toe to wake you up in the morning. 115 is like a play toy to that. Besides its the current that kills.
I dunno on Skimmers yet I am going to do a little research but right now I am leaning towards a Euroreef, but we will see.
