good lookin polyps, but not the coolest ever. Must be EXTREMELY rare or an EXTREME ripoff

That's awesome. One UPS truck gets too hot and you receive a small piece of slime in a bag. No way of knowing that thing won't shrivel up and die as soon as it gets into your tank. Or that fish that "never picks at YOUR corals" takes one bite and swallows a $1000 lunch.

I'm thinking that's a crazy price.
Check out the site: http://www.reef2reef.com
Maybe a scam??? Confused as to why they have the site listed in the auction. Pretty sure the site is not sponsoring that auction.

:Timeout: This whole fragging thing is getting completely out of hand. I see many individuals ripping people off, over charging for coral and inverts like this for no other reason other than they can. There is no justification in that price regardless of how rare it is and I can assure you NONE of these zoa's on the market are rare. Mother nature didnt make a certain amount and said THATS IT, I JUST MADE RARE! Now, HARVEST IT AND SALE IT ON EBAY FOR AN OUTRAGEOUS PRICE AND WAIT FOR SOME MORON TO BUY IT. I am glad I dont charge outrageous prices for zoa's and that still after all the shipping costs and CITES permit that I pay for.

Obviously the seller is either dumb enough to actually think it will sell, or smart enough to know some idiot will pay.

What kind of recourse could a buyer possibly have? Any color could be sent in the mail and the seller could claim that it is a difference of light/conditions.
Buyer: Hey, these look brown. I think I was ripped off.
Seller: What kind of lights do you have?
Buyer: I have two 250w MH and a three way 50-75-100 watt GE incandescent.
Seller: Oh, I use 10 D-Cell MagLites and a Dora the Explorer night light. Guess they look different because of the spectrum of your lights. Have a nice day.

The owner of Reef to Reef put this up as a joke..or so he says.

Hello this is revhtree the owner of reef2reef. Guys trust me when I say this was a joke for the the forum at reef2reef. We had been discussing that this was the same morph as the original Envy Orange that was selling for $600 per polyp and people were paying it. I came up with a goofy name and threw it up there to get some giggles and to get some more people looking at the site. This is why I started the bid at $999 because I knew no one in their right mind would pay that. Heck I don't even have a polyp to sell. I only have a couple myself. LOL! If someone were to bid I would have canceled the auction. Ebay removed it because of my links to the site. :D
If you read the threads you'll see it was a joke and you'll see that this paly was the center of a nice debate! ;)
I agree with you all about pricing stuff so high, and again this was a joke and to get people talking. I didn't think people would take it serious trust me.
Thanks.

Not sure pratical jokes will get you where you want in regards to traffic to your site :)

As far as I know I can't be a "sponsor" of any site just being a forum...
Anyway it was a joke between me and some members of my site. We had a big discussion/debate on whether or not the new orange palys that had been coming in were Envy Orange polyps which were selling for $600 per polyp.
Thanks for your concern and warm welcome though...
