I just got the deal of deals and I had to post to people who would appreciate. I got 5 metal Halide light fixtures, w/ dual built in pc lighting, reflectors, 3 175watt working ballast-brand unknown, 3 good 175watt coralvue bulbs, and 6 20in actinic pc bulbs for 60 bucks! I couldn't believe!! They are all a little rusty, but I am going to refinish them. I already grinded one ballast down to bare metal, and I will be respraying everything with bedliner or a rust preventative paint, maybe POR paint. I will be selling some of them later when I get them refinished like new, but these are more importantly, my first purchase for my soon to be purchased 100g tank!!

Sounds like a great score. Was it from someone with fish tanks or someone using them for "plant" growing and in need of cash? LOL

no, they came from some guy who travels around fixing zoo, and museum aquariums....Although, he did have a shed that was glowing blue out back. j/k haha. He also had a 240 acrylic tank w/ 80 gallon glass sump for 500 o.b.o. It was really nice, but I don't have the money or the time to get it back from austin and up and running.

All that stuff came from my brother in law. I believe he is going to relist what is left when he gets back from work in Mississippi. He had and still has alot of surplus from his days in the setup/maint buisness...

Buy it and set it up real quick, when she not around. When she ask you to get rid of it, just post it up for sale for $8000, and then tell her ,you have to keep it now b/c the market is slow right now.

If I didnt have a 400 I would have taken the 240 from him (hey hes family right?!). Its a really nice looking tank and the sump is a huge, thick glass beast. He also has several other MUCH LARGER acrylic tanks ,if you can believe that, but those will definatly be > 1000$ each.
