I am currently running a Hagen Glo T5 HO light with some moon LEDs on my tank :-). But like the average aquarium enthusiast, I want more. I have been scoping out my best options for my 55 Gal and have come across this model on a well known bidding site. Like any large investment, I am in need of some opinions. What are your thoughts?

Reflectors:
The T5 reflectors are curved German polished Aluminum for the maximum amount of reflectivity. These special reflectors more than double the output of the bulbs. The German polished Aluminum spider reflector is located behind the metal halide to evenly scatter light through aquarium and maximize the brightness. Again, the UV shield is included to prevent harmful UV rays from entering the tank.

Without knowing the brand or how much you are getting it for I can't say if I think it's a good deal or not but I can say with the amount of light it will put out you should be able to keep most corals.

I have a feeling that this is a Hommby product which are mostly distributed through ebay. Look at this link. I asked the same question on a KC based Fish group that I used to be active in before I moved to KC. Anyway I decided not to purchae the product and picked up a 6x54 t5 setup instead.
