Chiton or ? and Sponge ID plz

I have alot of these little guys in my tank thay stay hidden all the time till night thay come out of the sand onto my rocks and glass thay have a hard shell and just have a top shell, ID if the pic helps im thinking some kind of Chiton maybe ?

Ive also had a big out break of these sponges Behind all my rocks in the last few months that look real red and pink very nice if anyone knows what kind thx

I'm thinking you should look up Limpet for your first creature. I've bought several chitons and don't think your pic looks like one, however the true test would be a pic from above as a pic from below could be anything. If the top shell is segmented like a pill bug or armidillo it is a chiton, if it is a teepee like calcerous shell then it most likely is a limpet.

ahhh no its 1 hard shell i just looked it up yeh there limpets ive got alot of them to and thay do come out of the water onto my pvc drain pipe under the tank, thx man

Did these things come on your live rock from the lfs? I have one or two in my tank also and dont know if I should take them out or leave them in?
