Well, stop the madness, we have purchased Ray Allen's beautiful 210g tank and will be moving it to our house this weekend. Anyone available to help move the tank on Sunday (March 9) around noon?

Let us know if you're interested and available and we'll pm you the address, etc.

Also, we are going to be in need of large tubs, totes, vessels to hold water, rock, corals, and fish. Suggestions on where you bought yours OR EVEN BETTER, anyone have something you could loan out for a couple of days?

If anyone has moving tips, words of encouragement or well wishes, that'd be appreciated too!

Man, Anthony, you're our new best friend... if only you could fill it with a bunch of children's videos! We'll get back to you on when to connect.

Oh geez.... another tank? When will you ever have time for those driving lessons? :P but thats pretty sweet. If I wasnt working, I would be there for sure. Unless, that is, you want to move the date to saturday. After all, I do have a truck. And if mike would lend me some of his muscles we could probably pick the thing up whilst only herniating a disk or two. Congratulations on the new purchase, and if anything else I can just lend you some buckets. I have five or so I can spare.

Well, if you're feeling left out (or just jealous that I called Anthony our BFF and not you) you could always get in on phase two of this project, being the hooking up of the new tank and tranferring of contents to the new tank... that is scheduled for the following weekend on SATURDAY March 15!

Or perhaps you'd just like to offer to cover some driving lessons?

But, for real, we may just take you up on your bucket offer! Thanks!

March 15th you say? Thats the big brothers birthday, and Im pretty sure its the weekend of south by south west, so Ill put your tank party third in line. I cant believe your moving your tank from one to another I thought you were just going to have multiple tanks, you know, like cool people do. I vote; 100g = reef, 210 = FOWLR. Otherwise your just going to have to buy another set of lights. But your rich, so I guess thats no problem for you. May I suggest another viper?
As far as the driving lessons go, there both female anyway so I dont think any amount of teaching will be able to help them. :)
and any time on the buckets. Im sure the old lady would love it if I got them out of the house for a little bit.
edit: and I will crush anthony. a real BFF would live in the 210.

For those who havnt figured it out Kristy and Mike bought my 210g. We have 2 guys so far; myself and Mike. 4 guys would make it a much easier move although even with 4 its just a little on the heavy side, lol. As stated this will be on Sunday the 9th. Mike and I will be taking the tank down starting at 10a so we will need the moving help at around approx 12 noon. Im located at 11164 Baffin Oaks, SA 78254 basically 1604 and Shanefield area.

Rubbermaid stock tanks work great for tank moves and either TSC or McCoys will generally let you return them at full credit within a week of purchase. My wife gave full disclosure of what we were doing to McCoys and they told her to return it when we were done. Can't beat that deal.

WOW! You guys are awesome! I really appreciate all the offers of help (and especially, as Ray pointed out, since I had to leave town on business at the last minute and am leaving Mike to handle all this by himself). I will pm everyone shortly regarding the offers to borrow stuff. Can't say thank you enough!

Well, we now have a 210g monster in our kitchen... can't wait til it's up and running! (lots of work ahead of us next weekend).

Many, many thanks to the great turnout today to help. It was really awesome to have all the help from Ray, Ace, Tony, Mike (Texreefer), and D and A customs (Damian? I told you I was terrible with names!) Always great to meet fellow reefers in person.

You guys all know who to call the next time you need help with anything!

-Mike (and Kristy)

PS: We'll try to keep everyone posted on the work as it progresses.
