I wanted to take my small frag rack out of the main display and also wanted a little more room to start propogating my corals.
So, I made my 150 gallon rubbermaid sump into a frag tank as well.
I'm using 2 175 watt halides that I had laying around from an old tank I had setup. Made the rack out of eggcrate and PVC cuttings.
I'm also using the returns from my skimmer and chiller for flow over the corals.
Here are a couple of pics:

Probably have about 60 frags in there right now and still have room. Only problem is I'm starting to get a little algea growing in there now.

Wow, are any of those frags for sale?

They will be, probably post this week or next in the for sale forum. I've had this setup for a couple weeks already. I plan on bringing a ton of frags to the March Frag Swap, but will prearrange if anyone is interested.
But, back on topic, looking for suggestions if I should add a fish to the sump now to help with the algea or just let it ride. Opinions from others with frag tanks?

I would just prune the algae manually. Adding a fish may cause your pod population to crash. That being said I have seen fish in fuges before though.

Maybe add some macro so it absorbs the nutrients instead of the bad algae.

I like this idea, I don't currently have one setup on this tank. Maybe I could get a plastic basket full of macro and just sit it in the sump. I'll have to think about this a little more. Right now, I just have the diatom algae and my main tank is a barebottom.

Maybe you could get a seahare to eat the algae? Of course you will still have to feed it after it has eatin all the algae.

Jeff, I agree on a couple of sea hares and maybe a Kole Tang but only one fish. The Kole will devour the algae. After the sea hares are thru, just loan them out....

Thanks for the suggestions, I might just let ride for a little while longer and see if it get's any worse. If it does, I might go with the kole tang.

Bought some cheato today, was about to throw it in the sump, when I started thinking.....
do I need to treat the cheato for any type of parasites before I add it to the sump? I'm so paranoid about getting any type of parasite, I dip everything.
I have some coral revive and lugols, would this be fine to dip or will it kill the cheato?

It will kill off what comes in the chaeto (pods etc) , but I usually dip my chaeto in lugols and flatworm exit and rinse in clean saltwater.

OK,
thanks, I think I will dip in both the lugols and coral revive. Then rinse it good in saltwater.
