Go back to Altex trade your old ones in and see if they have vantec stealth fan supposedly 20db's at 1700 rpm but it can spin up to 2700 rpm so you would need to control the speed if thats too loud what you can do is find a fan that has at least 2 or 3 ball bearings that have a lower rpm, or you can use rubber bushings on the screws to keep the fan vibration with the hood down. There's a whole slue of fans with fluidized bearings and such, fans with a 1600 rpm should put out 9-20db's.

I'm looking for a couple of 90mm fans for evaporation out of my canopy. I picked up 2 high volume fans at AllTex, but they are somewhat loud. Could someone steer me towards a fan that size, that can push some air, that are quiet?

I appreciate it!
I was once referred to this site, but I personally don't know because I have never purchased fans from them. I was looking at the fans that have the LED's (thought about the dual capabilities of a fan and moonlights, just never purchased it)

I've been looking for fans as well. Not trying to hijack your thread...But how would you wire those to a plug?

Hey, thanks for input/info. I'm going to go with a set of the SilenX.
The fans I have are doing a great job of keeping the temp down, just too noisy. Really hoping the SilenX are as quiet as listed!
