Question on pump for new reactor

I'm getting one of Ace's Media Reactors and need some help on which pump to use.I know most recommend the 404 but I might have to put it 12-18 inches below tank.I don't have a sump,so the pump/powerhead in my tank will have to pump water down to reactor then back up to tank.Hope this makes sense,I understand flow into media needs to be slow but what will it take to send water back up to tank.Thanks for any suggestions.

there is basically no head pressure because the intake of the pump and the output of the water will be at the same level... you should use a maxijet 600 or maxijet 900.
