I have 250 lbs of Fiji rock, they are mostly medium to smaller peices so you stack it and stack it and although it looks nice, it looks (at least mine) like a pile or rocks...
Gotta love family. Father is loving the idea that I am getting my large tank set up...so HE CAN COME OVER AND RELAX!!!!!!!!!!
Either way so he decided he was going to fork over some $$ for a large center peice that will bring it all together.
My question is....where can I get a nice looking center peice rock from. I know Ed sells rocks, I got a majority of my rocks from him in the boxed sale, and although the peices were nice, nothing really large.
I looked at Marco Rocks, and messaged him about some rock...but anyone else have an idea?
Seamonkey2 had a very impressive peice in his tank....any idea would be greatly appreciated. Doesn't matter if it is cured or not, as I starting a new tank. It is 30" tall and 24" deep......

2 months ago I bought 50lbs of rock from Ed. It was only 3 rocks one of which is 30lbs. Its huge; about 18" long and a 12" thick. I to was looking for a show peice, Id check back because he always has so much to choose from, could always give him a call and ask if he has any large peices.

You can piece together rock with zip ties, acyrlic rods, and epoxy and custom make a show piece. Tonga branch works really well for this.

I may do that....what type of rock was it? Is there anyone in town who sells Marshall Island rock? Pretty rock...had some in my last tank. I know it is more costly, but more pourous and you usually get more rock for the $$.

Looks pretty good, but with 30"s of height I nice tall tower would look great.

If its uncured I think ed would be selling it a $1.25 a lb so that rock would not be a bad price.

You definitely can't beat that....and as I mentioned, it doesn't have to be cured......I need to cycle anyhow.

I thought there were some agrocrete guys around here somewhere... maybe you could get a show piece custom made to your dimensions?

I bought a few dried out 25-30 pound'ers from Ed a while back and I'm very happy with them. Here's what my tank initially looked like after set-up. I've moved a few peices around since then, but this is the gist of what I was going for. I wouldn't dare show a current picture until i get my algae under control...lol.
