I started trying to raise up seahorse fry a while back. It's been alot of fun and a real learning experience but I'm starting to get a little better at it.These aren't the greatest pics but here are some shots of seahorses I am raising...

2 week old Tigertail (H. comes), the bright red belly is because he just ate cyclopeeze.

And a shot of one at 55 days old...

Yeah I had to use "quick fix" in paint shop pro. This ain't a reef tank, not much lighting. An he's tiny.

Very cool Richard! Have you been able to raise them to adulthood?

Not yet. The 55 day old H. comes is my oldest and the only one that made it from the first batch. I'm hoping he makes it to adulthood. The comes are tough because the fry are tiny (around 3mm) and pelagic for 4 weeks. I'm starting to have a little better success though and I have a few ideas that should help me have even better success.

The H. fuscus have been pretty easy. The fry are pretty large and hitch at birth. I have 30 of the 6 week old ones.

Richard, now I know where you have been hiding. The first pic does not look like Mark. More like a seahorse in the headlights. Saltwaterfish.com is selling ORA Fuscus $129 ea.
I guess I will have have to post some pics of my seahorses. They really are cute.
I still have about 50 of my F3 erectus born in December.
Do you know anybody how has kudas for sale?
Keep up the great work. They are not easy, but so rewarding.

Can you tell us about your rearing tank(s) setup? Do you keep each spp. in separate quaters?
