You're definately right Todd...he's just trying to shelter me (donnsa's wife) from the shock of the overall cost!

It's an amazing setup that we hate to part with. I never knew that a truly agressive reef tank was possible but Donny raised all of these fish practically from "infancy".

Anyone who is interested, but still trying to sell the idea to a spouse/sig other, the stand, canopy and auto top of reservoir are truly a very nice piece of display furniture and the tank practically runs itself. That was what got me interested in it.

Another bump for an awesome system. Wish I had the room for something that large and talk about a nice looking piece of furniture.

Just a thought, but maybe there's 2 or 3 people that could split it.

Gator and I split a big system once and it worked out great.

Another bump! And, um, Kimber I withold further comment! Just trying to help out with the sale. :)

Don, sad to see you getting rid of the tank, but you must have your reasons.

If somebody wants to jump in I would be interested in most of the livestock (fish).

I am in the market for a tank and stand, but I can only afford $500...don't really need anything else. Wanting to upgrade my FOWLR, but all the tanks being sold that are 110 or larger are on home made stands of 2x4 4x4's painted. I want a nice piece of furniture.

Thanks for all of the positive comments...I will be back in...and bigger!

SO far I have had one person somewhat interested in the whole set up.

A few interested in some / most of the livestock.

A few interested in the tank, stand, canopy.

I have a viewing tonight for the whole set up so everything is still up in the air.

Dee , I appreciate your offer, if it comes down to just the tank and stand which is unlikely I will keep you in mind.

Jose you have a Pm on your fish wish list.

Mon, 14th Jan 2008, 01:55 PM
ok...lots of interest but no luck on the whole set up.
I will start part out prices once I know I have the tank/stand/canopy sold.
FYI the price for the tank/stand/canopy will be $2000 which includes tank/stand bought from glasscages ( orig. price was $1300). Canopy was custom made for $800 and it comes with the T-5's and ballasts which was just over $1100. Set up needs new bulbs ( around $250 )

I have now posted this on the other sites so forgive me If I still give more time for the whole set up.

I am excited to be getting this system and only hope that I can sustain/recreate the magnificence that Donny has brought to fruition. It is going to be a tall task. Right now it looks like most of the livestock is either going to be coming with me or is already spoken for, however I will post any fish that are available once I figure that out. There may also be some equipment that I repost. I still have to plan exactly how it is going to be setup here at my place and determine what I can fit.

If anybody is available to help on Feb. 2nd, I will happily be providing food, beverages and beer to any volunteers. This is obviously a big system and any and all help would be appreciated.

BTW- Anybody in SA who is needing some live sand. Feb. 2nd should be a good day to get some for free.
