I am experiencing intermittent micro bubbles in my Bio-cube 29. I turned off the skimmer and that is not helping out, next step was the pump and that is not helping. Anyone else with a bio-cube that has experienced this? Everything is still stock except for 1/2 rubble and 1/2 bio balls in 2nd chamber.

I have a Biocube 14 and I get these too. My friend has the exact same tank & set it up the same time as mine, though I have a protein skimmer and he doesn't. He has no bubbles.

Air bubbles are present when initially setting up, no matter which media is used. Alot of that air is drawn into the final sponge filter next to the pump. As it makes it's way through the sponge, small amounts release, causing the bubbles. Use something to squeeze that sponge down a few times and that will help to get the last of the air out of the sponge.

Your Micro bubbles are coming from the skimmer. I also have a BC29 but its running skimmer less and ive never had mocro bubbles or any problems not running a skimmer.

Thanks for the info and replies. I found my problem to be a small crack on the outlet elbow leading from the pump to the tank. It was pulling air in and sending it into the tank. I found it by tracing everything back and forth and when I started messing around with the tubing I saw water shoot out from the crack.
