The 560watt is more than enough for a 70g. You could keep anything you want.

If you don't keep any hard corals then the 2x150 should be fine. Make sure you acclimate the tank to the new lighting or you will have some serious problems. Also, if you're worried about heat you could just install a fan or two if you don't want to fork over the bucks for a chiller.

DON'T go with PC.

Go Metal Halide and VHO or T5.

In acclimating new lights would that mean to raise them up and start out with the MH on only a couple of hours a day and slowly increasing time ?

I would look into running ONLY T5 lights. You can get more then enough from them to grow anything. Plus no heat and no rise in the electric bill.

There are just to many advantages to them over MH's these days. You loose the shimmer effect, but now I am reading that a certain LED light will give it back to you.

I am going all T5's in February or March. I now run 3 250W MH's, 6 T5's. I will go with a new T5 setup I will build that will hold 6 T5's.

Giessmann bulbs are the way to go also. I will run pure actinics and 50/50's.

The main drawback for me with T5's is that you need 6 expensive bulbs versus 2 expensive bulbs.

I've got a great 48" MH setup for sale. 2x175w 2x65w in a great enclosure.
