As some of you know, I won the 50 gallon tank in the raffle at the meeting at prof's house last month. I installed in the overflow box, finished building the standpipe, scraped the blue paint off the back and painted it black, finished the plumbing and set up the lights. I also moved sand and liverock from existing tanks. My digital camera is pretty bad, but here's a picture of the rockwork:

going to get:
1- fourline wrasse
2- percula clowns
1- yellow watchman goby
1- yasha hase & pistol shrimp pair
1- royal gramma
1- fathead anthias
1- bluespot jawfish
1- bluespot sharpnose puffer
1- filamented fairy wrasse
that's pretty much what I've settled on so far, of course it can always change...
I really like tanks with lots of little fish that hide because everytime you look at the tank, you see something new. Makes for an interesting display, especially with how narrow this one is.

the 50 is going to be an all LPS tank with acans, blastos, goniopora, brains, etc. and zoanthids as filler. I'll probably end up putting rics in there too the way mine go crazy in that biocube.
I've been getting the equipment together and planning an SPS tank for a few months and it looks like that one should be running by the end of January. I have everything but the tank lol. Looks like it will be a custom 115 cube, but we'll see how that works out.

lol i used live sand, and cured liverock from existing tanks and a trashcan from my garage; also, brought home a bag full of pods and mysid shrimp from work... all that said, it read no nitrites pretty much from when i filled up with water, on. then i let it sit for a week or so before moving corals in. everything i had in 2 14 gal biocubes, and then some, got transferred in.

David P, David B, and devonian- thanks for the compliments

I'll update pictures as I add stuff... I'm having a little ich outbreak on one of the clowns but from this morning to tonight it is looking MUCH better. I love Garlic Extreme LOL
Hopefully next week when Jake goes to Cali to hand pick the stuff for the RCA holiday sale (sorry for the little plug ), he can get me a nice Coral Beauty and a few others.

black 2 sided acrylic. Thanks to prof, who supplied it, all I had to do was silicone it in!
