scoooter blenny?

alright i since im moving in a couple of days im going to my hometown and setting up another aquarium so it can cycle i know two weeks isnt enough but its all the time i have. now i have a clown and a scooter blenny. wen i threw the blenny in there myt ank had been setup for a couple of months. im under the impression since they are sand sifters they take watever is in the sand and eat it. therefore will i have any problems with new sand in a new tank? ive seen him eat brine shrimp before just a couple of times though. should i get rid of him so i dont end up starving him to death?

I would get rid of him to someone with an established tank. He'll have a way better chance of survival.
