so i was looking the other day and i noticed that the tips of my purple condy is starting to turn brown. anyone know why?
i currently have a 6 gallon with 24 watt 50/50 catfish light, rio 200 powerhead, the standard eclipse six filter with phosphate pad and matrix, two nassarius snails, peppermint shrimp.
i am due for a water change today. i was thinkin that maybe its some brown algae thats growing on it? maybe? i use ro water from the little windmill fill stations at heb and before then me and my friend never had problems with brown algae until we started using that windmill thing. we used to use glacier ro water.
anyways if anyone knows what might be happening or not, thanks.

any way you could take a picture?
It sounds like it is just getting ticked off. One 24w 50/50 bulb isn't a whole lot of light over 6 gallons. Condys are fairly hardy and easy to take care of. What have you been feeding it? A lot of anemones need to be hand fed something meaty on a regular basis, especially Condylactis because not many clown species will take up residence in them and give them a share of the food.

no not really its hard to see but if you look close enough its just a slight coloration on the tips of the tenticles. my condy used to be in a 29 with a 20 watt 50/50 and did completely fine. i used to feed it blood worms every other two or three days but i just swithced to feeding it spirulina enriched brine shrimp.

when i first put it in the six gallon it was doing completely fine but now, like a month or two later its getting that really slight slight color on the tenticles.

thanks
