This is from another post. I just copied here to share my terrible experience that I had with John from Zoafrag.

Tony and I got what was supposed to be 2x1" frags of the superman. He gave us one frag, which I had to split and it came out in three pieces. He overcharged us and his merchant has yet to release the funds back to us, which in turn caused some overdraft charges since he failed to tell us that 230 was being held instead of the 115 that should have been held. I wrote him a pointed email stating that "I was not pleased" with the situation, and that since he flat out lied by saying "only 35 extra dollars will be charged" I told him that he was a liar. I then told him that I would pursue this matter until we were properly charged and all extraneous fees associated with this transaction were liberated. He took this as a threat. I asked him to call me, but I was out in the living room when he called. He left a message and the first words out of his mouth were "Erik I just got your ANNOYING email, and it's not my fault that you don't understand why you are being charged the way you are." He then went on to state that my order was nothing, and he asked for a paypal addy to send my money back to me. At this point I decided to be very polite since he was irate, and had already taken out every penny in my girlfriend's account. We have yet to recoup any of the money from this. I would also like to point out that I believe that reefingood is him. After several emails etc, you can tell by the manner in which he writes that it is entirely too similar to reefingood's. Even though this was mainly just a big mixup, I feel that he as the vendor should have told me EVERYTHING regarding MY money, and he did not which is causing us more pain than good. If you order from him, make sure that you have your entire order together BEFORE you order. If you call to add something else, it will get completely jacked up.

Granted, it was only a 115 dollar order, but from his manner and tone, he could have cared less. His manner towards the entire situation was completely unprofessional, and I had to be the bigger man. I managed to squeeze an apology from him, but it's an attitude like his that will be his own demise.

Thanks for your head's up Erik....have to rethink things now....so from what I am understanding.....he charged you DOUBLE what the order was, and this stemmed from a change in the order you placed? Or did you make the order online through his website?

And who is this reefingood? Here on this site or another?

Thanks again, and sorry to hear about your dilemma...

And how are the corals looking? Do they look anything like advertised on the website? Or they photoshopped? Despite the problem, were the corals worth the money?

I had asked him to add another superman monti to the order. I had already ordered through the website, and he knew this. He then told me that all he was going to add was 35 dollars. Somewhere he got confused, and added the order twice, and acted like it was my fault for not understanding. No coral is worth the headache of having to worry like we are right now. Reefingood came onto this site promoting zoafrag.com, like he was just another guy. I would never order from him again without having my entire order ready before hand, just to make sure he would not get confused and jack my totals around and play with my money like it was his. He did not put himself out, he put US out. That is what has me bent. I just got the coral yesterday, and due to a bad swingarm, my salinity was off so badly that I had hardly gotten to see it polyped out. At lunch I did see some polyps, and once I get the salinity back to normal, and the polyps are fully extended, I will post pics. I know most people haven't had any trouble with him, and that typically he is a great seller, I just could not believe how pretentious he has been acting when it was his fault. While you may get a good frag, be ready to deal with the garbage.

BTW, most things are photoshopped, and from the looks of his site, he or someone he knows is quite proficient with it. I would say that so far though, it looks good. :) Hope this didn't confuse you too much.

That's why I posted. I doubt you will have the same troubles I did, but if you do, you can expect the worst customer service in the world. To quote john, "I am not JCPenny, or Target. I am a SW fish guy"
Translation = If you don't like it, shove it.
Also, he only has a ONE HOUR doa policy, so like me, make sure to be there to receive the package.

WOW....1 hour huh?? LOL...geez....well I work from home, so I am here to receive shipments...If you don't mind my asking what all did you order from him? And you said he was skimpy with his stuff? I have ordered before where the we got a little extra in our orders....usually when you meet the minimum I got that. There is this other guy I want to order from, but he is in Canada....so I am not sure about that....

It wasn't skimpy, and the bonus frag was doa. It was one frag 2 1/2". We needed two frags of 1" each. When I tried to split the rock into two, it split into three. This was not something that I should have had to do, IMO.

Compared to other online shops, I think his prices aren't all that bad. Sure I cand find things cheaper, but then I end up with dull and common stuff....not looking to have a tank full of xenias and other things that can be found anywhere....

if you know of another online site that sells nice things...please post...I am ready to put some color in my tank.

I've had good luck with Fragfarmer. Always underpromises and overdelivers. And, WYSIWYG. No photoshopping.

LOL....it would be great, but I guess I need to get some things first...LOL...I have nothing to trade...I just finished the cycle.

I guess I better become a charter member...because here on the Web member side it is really rare to see folks selling things...LOL...

A quick hint. Find tanks you think are gorgeous and beg (usually asking nicely works well) until you get to see it. It's amazing how quickly you'll amass things.

I trade all the time but don't advertise it. When people drop by and ask about stuff, if I have a piece that can frag easily, I generally send them home with it just for stopping by. It's a community, the more you put into it, the more you get back. Find people that live near you and start dropping by.
