Anyone else have one? The reason I ask is I am trying to get a little more of an idea together. Mine (since the full moon) has been going PSYCHO, especially today. He is not chasing any fish around or anything, just races around and stops in between two rocks, then goes bananas again for about 30 seconds, and right back inbetween the two rocks. To give a better understanding, he is acting like a psychotic damsel. I am trying to finger out if it has to do with the moon, and more specifically gravity. Anyone else got any emperical evidence that they could share? :D

How long have you had it? They are notoriously difficult feeders and most die in captivity. I'm wondering if yours is starving and showing signs of it by acting out. Not trying to say your doing something wrong here, just that I've not heard of any real success with them. Just asking for more info.

definitely difficult at first. mine had ich on and off for a month and acted crazy for about 2. now, he thinks he rules the tank and eats anything i throw in there.

as for the full moon thing, mine isnt doing anything like that.

How big of a tank is it in Erik?

Its only a 75, but he is still a baby. He also eats a variety of food, and I am guilty of feeding alot. It may just be a phase, but I love to speculate, and knowing the affect that the moon has on sps and spawning, it would not suprise me that this could also be a sign of aggression. He usually swims all over the place, All of my baserock is rests on tonga, lifting it up off the sand, and all of the tangs swim in and out all day long. He has yet to assert himself in my tank, but I have two yellows that are of good size, and they are always together, so I am praying he doesn't try to seperate and dominate. Honestly, I was hoping to get one of good temperment, but we will see how that goes. My aquascape is fairly minimal, most of the rock resides in the sump. All of it is in an island style shape, one side higher than the other end which stops 18 1/3" in accordance with the golden ratio on invincible's site. I guess I am just over analyzing this, his facial markings have not darkened like he's mad or anything. I am merely speculating :)
I already want a larger tank, six footer at least, so that may come here in a short while, I just need to review my options with my apartment complex.

Off topic, but Erik the rock work looks great; much better than before.

Clown tangs get large, as I'm sure you know, and it sounds like he's just trying to get some swimming room. Regardless of the fact that he is a juvenile, the fish is simply too big for your present aquarium.

Go figure this morning he is acting normal again. Probably just getting used to the environment!
