red collar snails

I recently purchased a red collar snail from TX Tropical. Said they are very good slime algae eaters, and I have loads of it, although, the urchin is helping. The snail is eating it, too. They said he will die in 80 degree + water, and 79 is pushing it. Set my tank to 78. Is this cool for my coral(LPS, softies, and polyps-zoas and shrooms)? Also, is this cool for the snail? Anyone with any input on the snail or the temp situation let me know.

They are also called moon snails and actually are from the waters around CA if I remember correctly. So they need really cold water (68-73 degrees). If you're lucky it will live. Your corals will be fine at 78, that is actually the recommended temp to keep corals at. Just remember any time you change temp to do it slowly.
