I built a pico tank and its 12" wide, any suggestions for a light? Tank is 2.7 gallons

If you only want to keep softies and LPS, there are lots of small power compact fixtures available. If you need something more powerful, you could hang like a 70w MH 8-10" above the tank.

K2-Viper, they make a 70w MH and a 150. Nice little clamp on!

The Vipers are great but for a 2.7g tank a MH is not needed. a Clamp on Power Compact is what most do with the pico tanks. A 36watt PC will give you 13watts per gallon. As mention above though check out www.nano-reef.com (http://www.nano-reef.com) and click on the pico section. Those guys will have all the info you need
