idea for maast meeting

We should have a meeting at the seaworld zoo. I think it would be cool to see how they run there tanks and maintaine everything. Just an Idea.

2 years ago we had Paletta out to give a presentation there. Super expensive. But keep the ideas coming!

texas state aquarium(10-15 to get in not to sure but can check online) in the summer and can chill at the beach after wards.

A few years ago we did a "behind the scenes" trip to Sea World. Unfortunately, it was a generic tour. They showed us a few of their holding tanks for the larger animals, walked through their big filtration area, got splashed by Shamu, and got to see the reef tank exhibit. The person that took us on the tour was not able to answer a lot of our questions either. A couple people were able to sneak into their research/propogation area, but that was only a few people, not the entire group, which stunk.

It would be cool to do another one, but we need to tell them we want the REAL/advanced behind the scenes tour, not the one they give to the tourists.

went to the state aquarium this summer and it was amazing. had some nice dome shaped coral tanks, box jellys, petting tank for stingrays and sharks. it was fun aand after wards went to the beach and had some fun playing sand vollyball and croquet. this could be a june, july, or august meeting if possible.

well once i get all moved in in matagorda we could have a meeting down there that could include camping fishing marsh kayaking beach seining collecting on the jetties along with other things.
