Has anyone tried one of these yet?

I just got one and I must say, its probably the best Maxi mod out there. It comes completely assembled with its own impeller so you dont have to destroy yours trying to put the thing together. Its very much plug & play and has what the call "Anti Reverse-Flow Technology" and it seems to work extremely well. . Its perfect for those of you the have some old Maxis laying around with a worn out or broken impellers and want more flow. And the price is right! Marinedepot has them for about five dollars less than any other online store. Just thought Id toss this brieve review out there for ya.

Seems as though they are made by the maker of the vortech pumps. Interesting.

I'd be curious to know how well they stand up to cycling on a wavemaker.

I had my home made ones on a wave maker for a long time( 8 months) and they did fine.. i'm sure these would have no problem

I had to modify the stock bracket to look something like this, sucky picture but you get the idea.

OK I see what you did. BTW I'm currently using it on a MJ600 to help mix my salt in a 50gal drum and you can actually see the water swirling.!!! Excellent mod.
