I seem to be getting an outbreak of bubble algae in my tanks. I was wondering what causes it, and it there is anything you can do besides trying to pick it off to try to get rid of it.

You can pick off the larger ones but be careful not to pop them or you'll just create hundreds more. An emerald crab should eat the smaller ones and maybe keep them somewhat under control.
As far as what causes them, you probably just got one or two as a hitchhiker at some point. Just another nuisance algae unfortunately.
