You could do this a lot cheaper and possibly better.

A 10g or larger tank or plastic containers. I would bet the skimmer does not work very well either.

Just my opinion.

Save up your money and buy a larger aquarium to use as a sump. Baffles are easy to make and attach to a glass aquarium. Plus the material cost is not that high. Then get a Coralife Super Skimmer. If you are on a budget, these perform well for their price. All I can say is you will regret opting for the Ebay sale in the future ;)

Try Ace. hobogato.

ace probably would charge more, but the quality would be superior and you can bet the skimmer would work tons better than the ebay one.

This is a hobby where quality counts, and I have seen it all over the place!

I remember readin that "this is a hobby of mimicry" you mimic the person's tank that you want yours to look like. Hope you brought your wallet! :)

I agree, save for something better. That is pretty small sump for a tank your size. And who knows how well that skimmer works. Skimmers can be very very very frustrating if you have to adjust them continuously to get them to work. A sump is easy, you can use any old tank or even a plastic bin as a sump. Spend the money on a good skimmere.

I understand your on a budget. Maybe watch reefcentral and see if you can get a euro reef or maybe an ASM that has the mods done to it. They are pretty much plug and play.
