I have a CSS65 in my sump. From what I've read they are the best you can get for the money. Are you going to be using it in a sump or HOB? If you use it as a HOB the only down side is that they tend to overflow the collection cup at first, until you get it "dialed in". Anyway, I like mine, it seems to do it's job pretty well. Here's a pic of the collection cup when I first put the skimmer in my sump. I had to empty it out everyday for almost a week, and it looked like this every time. I had no idea all that crap was in my tank!!!!

If you can run it in sump, do it. Most people running a HOT skimmer have a story about the skimmer suddenly acting up and puking all that gunk out behind the tank. Once your tank is up and running you typically don't have the room behind it to go in and clean that mess up.

I run mine HOT on my fuge. It fills up fast, and it really needs to be modded to accomodate a three liter bottle. The above pic is alot wetter skim than mine, and it is one you have to keep your eye on. I put a bill miller's tea bucket under mine to help keep my floor clean. There are some cheap or free mods that you can do, so it's a good product IMO. If you want to buy mine, you can since I am going to upgrade to a larger one. Let me know. :)

I have the 65 that HOB. I like it a lot. I have not had many problems with it. I wish that i had gotten a bigger one though. Hope this helps.
