Finally setting up my tank...one question?

I just moved and I am finally getting my tank set up tomorrow. I have one question seeing as how I have never done this before. I know salinity needs to be fairly close to exact but as a starting point, how much salt per gallon should I start with?

it should say on the bag! i use instant ocean and it says 1/2 cup of salt per gallon.
