Also, peppermint shrimp and kalkwasser.

Sorry to tell you but will never totally eradicate it from your tank.

I wouldnt say a copper band. There hard to take care of. They will eat it. But if he dont eat brine or anything else. He would die soon after everything is gone..A couple of peppermint shrimp will eat smaller ones. The other way is Joes juice. I had alright time with it. Its kills them too but you might have to treat them couple of times.

Go to berghia.net and read all about it. Definitely the best aiptasia control if you can't have or don't want a copperband butterfly. Larry is pretty dedicated guy who knows ALOT about the berghia nudibranches.

I had a problem a year ago when I inherated a 28 lb rock that was loaded. I added a copperband and he ate the small ones ,but would not touch the larger ones. I added two berghia nudibranches and they destroyed all but three jumbos. For those I used Blue Life Aiptasia Control and in two days they where gone. Berghia can get in areas where fish and you can't because aiptasia do not need light to survive.

I had an outbreak of aptasia in my tank and I used Aptasia Control...it melted the Aptasia in seconds and within a couple of hours they were all gone with no ill side effects to my fish or corals.

Joes Juice works OK. CBB works GREAT. Yes, they aren't the easiest to get to eat, but once they do, they are usually hardy fish. Both of mine are chow hounds.

I gotta jump in here, I have a 72 g. bow, some Aiptasia, and would like to get them under control before they get outta hand. What's min tank size for the CBB? ...and the CBB doesn't eat any other coral, polyps, etc?

I have a few peppermint shrimp but they haven't done much. Tried the KW paste to no avail. I also read about injecting RealLemon juice into base.

Anyone have Berghia to lease out for grazing?

CCB will eat feather dusters.. Big or small.

I have a CBB in my 55, and one in my 215. They SHOULD be reef safe - as far as I know the only butterfly that is. Both tanks were HEAVILY infested. I mean COATING the walls. Both are free today - actually the 215 has 2 big ones in it.

Dittos on the feather dusters - they will all be toast with a CBB.

I've tried various aptasia products, and Joes works reasonably well, but it has a short shelf life.
