well...

i woke up this am to find that my anemone walked right down the throat of one of my koralia pumps. so... no more blood red anemone.

i guess I can remove all that armor now. don't think i will try again until i can setup a tank w/ a closed loop.

for anyone interested, there is another blood red for sale on atlantisaquarium, and they have one w/ a purple base, and another w/ yellow tips.

Oh, that stinks. I've had ONE wander into a Seio, and saved it. Since I got the original RBTA about 3 years ago, I've not had a problem losing them in powerheads or drains.

a closed loop wont save you anyting that comes near that intake will become chopped seafood

not neccisasrily on the closed loop.

If you divide the intake into several intakes, you reduce the flow through every one of them to something manageable.

true thats how pool builders build the drains on pools with a redundant intake to reduce stress on the pump and also incase something is on the intake its just a question of how many 2" holes you want to drill for your pump intakes

My 2 closed loops each have 3 drains/strainers on them, just for that reason.
