Equipment List Thoughts

The new tank is being ordered on Wednesday :roll I need some input on some equipment before I buy it though. So far here is what I'm planning on unless there are any better ideas. The canopy is going to take 2 weeks to come in so I have that time to gather everything I'll need.

It's a RR 70 gallon 36X18X25

I wish I had the money for Deltec quality stuff but I'm working on a budget so let me know some better somlution for around the same price.

Like you listed, might as well stick with the ballast brand that makes your bulbs.

That T-5 kit should work pretty sweet on it. Which bulbs were you planning on using for it? Blue Actinic?

My only advice on the Seio's is get magnet mounts for them ;) I have used them in the past and their suction cup brackets are horrible!

I'm going to have to do the magnets because I'm so tired of resticking the suction!!!


I was going to go with 1 atinic and on 10K on the T-5

I decided to due one drain and one return on the overflow to lock-line.

If I change that though and make it 2 drains down the road I'll definitly look at the Squirt instead of the SCWD for the returs over the top!

Seio now makes their own magnets and they look really compact.

just a thought but, why dont you order all your stuff from the same place? I order almost all my stuff from premium aquatics and they will match or even beat what ever price you find on line, just call them and show them. That way you will save a lot on shipping charges, rather than having stuff shipped from 5 different places.

I'll check them out but the reflector has to come from Aquacave because of size and they give me free shipping. Hello Lights gives me free shipping and 10% off.

So that leaves the return pump/controller/magnetholders and auto top off which niether carry so I just tried to find the best price.

If Premiem can do all minus the reflector for the same or less I would be surprised but it doesn't hurt to try.
