I'm putting baffles in a 20 gallon aquarium for my new system and need recommendation on the best stuff to use and where to get it.
Also how long does it usually take to dry?

I used GE glass silicone from Home depot on my sump and it worked great. Its been a while but im sure it was GE Silicone 1, do not get the other which is Mold resistent; its toxic. Oh and you want to let it dry at least 24hrs.

Since the joints are not structural, silicone will work. I have used it on ABS plastic to glass on a old sump of mine. It worked great. Give it at least 24hrs to cure. Its usually done curing when you can't smell it in the air anymore ;)

OK went to Lowes to pick it up which they had but they didn't have any arylic that was thick enough... I thought that would be the easy part.
Any ideas where to buy a few sheets?
Thanks for the info so far

Regal plastics in Austin might have some "cutoffs" around that will help you. Not close to your work but manageable at lunch. About half way to RC aquatics.

The Regal down in San Antonio has a scrap bin of random acrylic sizes. $1 a pound. If you hit them up at the right time, you can get some nice pieces for smaller projects at a heck of a price :)
I'm sure the Austin store sells their scraps too. Better call to make sure. If not, I know they will cut to any size you give them if you gotta order the material :)
