I would like to get a tank-raised clownfish (perc or occellaris) for my 12gal. nano but, of course, can't find any down here. Does anyone on here raise their own or have any suggestions on where to get one in S. Texas? TIA

I think I remember reading somewhere that INSTAR breeds clowns. Not sure if that is still true but you could shoot an email and check it out. It's in San Antonio though, and I dont know if you ever head up this way.

I would consider making the trip in order to get a tank-raised clown though...

I'd rather not buy anything from Petco....

Wolf Reef in San Antonio has four black ocellaris clowns, tank raised 60.00 each.

REEFY,

ORA Farms breeds and raises clownfish so you can't go wrong with any fish from them. They are the hardiest clowns around. Pretty much any fish store will sell ORA clowns. You might pay a little bit more than wild caught clowns, but you'll be saving yourself TONS of problems (brooklynella being one of them, LOL).
