I am not the best electrician, in fact i have never done it. Can someone help me how to do this stuff. I want to try out my 70w mh to make sure everything works fine. Here's a pic, hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.

Just to help out a bit, the colors of the wires coming out from the ballast from left to right are green - blue - red. ON the power from left to right as it shows on the pic are green - blue - brown.

Oh and on the other chord, both ends have two wires, both are black and white. I tried connecting it color coded but it didnt work. Anyone out there that can help?

My guess from your set up is to hook up the green to green, blue from power cord to white on ballast, brown from power cord to black on ballast.

FRom ballast blue to one side of light, red to the other. Your light fixture may include another wire, probably green, this can also go to the other green.

Check MARSH for an article all about the 70W Advance ballast kits.

I drew up a pic. Hope this helps. The colors of the wire coming from the light fixture won't matter much, just as long as each one is connected to the red or the blue coming from the ballast. I do hope you haven't fried this ballast putting 120V back through the transformers when you tested.
