Good morning all, I have been waking up to a new site in my tank lately. a sand hill, this is the sort of hill that my old Gulf shrimp got moved out of my tank for, LOL...I put in a new large Zoo rock about a week ago and now this sand hill, always in the same spot by that zoo rock...any guesses as to the culprit?

my first guess would be current. if that isnt it, maybe a pistol shrimp.

That's exactly what it looks like, a power head but no, no high flow in that area...if anything it's a gentle area..

I think it was the ricordia, you should bring it to the meeting, I'll take it. LOL
Nah it does look like flow, move the sand back, drink a beer and stare at it, see if your sand is being moved, grain by grain. It may take more than one beer, I suggest a sixer.

Well, I thought the same thing, it's not flow, thus this thread...Good guess though, and I will have that beer !! Good Idea...

what kinda blennies and gobies might you have? My lawnmower will make that kinda hole when he's at the glass whipping his tail back and forth because he thinks he is bigger than I am.
