wuts a close loop? how does it work? wut are the advantages/disadvantages?any1 have this in there tank?pics?

A closed loop is just that. Imagine a pump with a section of tubing connected to the input of the pump, fill the tubing with water and connect the other end to the output and turn the pump on. The water is recirculated through the tubing and the pump without any interrutions. In an aquarium, a closed loop can be done several different ways. Personaly, I use a Mag pump with the addition of a changing current device, (scwd) with both the returns and the input being in the tank creating a true closed loop. Works great for me.
