Do the workhorse ballast power t-5 bulbs? I have a 30 gallon I bought from Brewercm(cliff) and I want reaonable lights for FOWLR tank. So I was thinking of either t-5 or PC. IF I use T-5 what would be a good combo. Wattage etc.

I power my 2 actinic supplement lights which are 24" t5's (24w) with a workhorse 5. If you look on Fulhams website, they have a configurator which lets you plug in your lamp size and combination (including t5), and it comes back with a recommended ballast and wiring diagram.

yes workhorse ballasts will work on t5 HO. I just ordered icecap reflectors and geisemann bulbs for a workhorse ballast I already had.anyway I wired them up and it worked great.I got the wiring diagram off of fulhams website like dpantle mentioned. It turns out it was too big for my tank though.HTH

i just got three workhorse 7 ballasts to power 12 t5 high output actinics (some 2' and some 3'). the ballast is good for up to 220 watts, and here (http://www.atlantalightbulbs.com/fulhamwire.html) is a site with a few wiring diagrams that may help you out.
