I've thought of getting a canister filter to use for carbon, polyfilters and other types of similar media. Is it safe to say that when using a canister filter for this type of application it does not matter on the size? I have a 75 gal reef tank and I'm looking at the smallest canister like the Filstar XP1. After reading up on carbon it seems that slower water movement is more efficient so the smaller canisters make since. I would guess this is the same for other types of media. Any suggestions?
