I have a Rio (came with) attached to my skimmer, and it is louder than HADES!!!! Well, specifically, the air hose is loud. If I pinch off the air line, it gets really quiet; just a hum to let you know it is working.
Further, as the other thread goes to show, I don't have a pump appropriate to pump bubbles into the skimmer.
I guess what I want to know is, is there a needle-wheel pump, or a pre-impeller air injection pump that is quiet?
