Set a digital timer to "patience" and wait. :)

It just takes time and a bit of calcification.

Sometimes you gotta 'seed' your tank with a piece of rock with coraline on it already. I've heard of people taking a rock and scrubbing it with a fine (clean) toothbrush to help spread it in the tank.

That seems like a neat idea I'm going to try that sometime

thats what i did scrub your rocks with a scotch brite pad or back of a clean 3m sponge also turn off your filter it will settle on rocks and seed them also works great theres also purple up but it is a controversal product some believe it works other think its junk

Yeah I was looking at Purple Up, but didnt have enough info for me to buy it. I'm having my LFS order me 10lbs of "super premium grade fiji" by what I've seen they're covered in coralline. If the "seed" process doesnt work im going to try out purple up

If the rock your ordering has corraline on it, and it will probably have a lot, then you won't need to do any seeding or anything else. In a short time it will spread everywhere.

A little Coraline goes a long way. Once you put some in your tank it will eventually spread. Coraline needs just 3 things to grow. Salt Water, Calcium, and Light. Oh yeah and time. ;) -SoLiD
