Is anyone interested in a group order for seahorses from these guys? We could save a ton on shipping and get some of the most beautiful horses around (from what I hear). Both places are supposed to have outstanding customer service.

Jorge (Draco Marine) can ship 5 H kuda medium or 8 H erectus medium in their standard box. www.dracomarine.org

Dan (seahorse source) won't have erectus until February. He may get some reidi in around then too. He didn't tell me the maximum horses in a box, but I would think it would be similar to Draco Marine. www.seahorsesource.com

Both places charge around $45 shipping for a standard box.

I will probably order a pair or two in February. Please let me know if you are interested and which place you prefer to order from. I can have a quarantine tank set up to hold your horses until you can pick them up.

When it is time to place the order, I will collect payment up front via paypal.

I am 100% in on some Draco erectus with appendages. I need a pair. Please let me know, in February, when you are going to order. I live in Austin, but can get to SA to pick up seahorses. Never mind your in Austin.

Here's what draco marine just sent me:
-------------------------------------------
You can request Male females for the Hippocampus erectus chocolate for now;
in about 3-4 weeks you will be able to request gender for the ones with skin
filaments.
The H erectus with skin firmaments are very nice, our last batch is the best
so far.
Take care
Jorge

I think I will get a pair of these when they are ready! 8)

That sounds sweet. We would prefer one male and one female H erectus with filaments. 3-4 weeks sounds like a pretty good time frame.

Yeah, you can sometimes get them cheaper at the LFS, but these are supposed to be REALLY nice and healthy.

That's why I wanted to do a group order...shipping is like buying another horse! :huh

I am really looking forward to this! What a way to celebrate my last car payment!!! :D

Did you guys ever order?

Actually, no. We both had a couple of seahorses die and wanted to make sure everything was good to go before ordering some more.

I may be able to do it at the end of the month if others are interested.

I am for the pot bellies and they are available so splitting the shipping 3 ways on one box would be great!

I want the pot bellies too, but they would be going in a 75. It says that height isn't the best for them :( They sell copepod cultures, you think it is worth the money? The smallest is ~400 for $15. I just want some to throw in my LR rubble. Or is it a ripoff?

You are probably aware, but pots are a cold water species. A chiller is DEFINITELY needed.

My father is not in good shape right now, so I won't be ordering for a while. If you all want to move forward with the order without me, that is perfectly fine.
