Do blue linka starfish eat tridacna clams? I didn't think they did but my blue linka is crawling on the clam. It doesn't appear to be harming the clam because the clam is partially opened as it would be normally at night. The linka might be eating stuff off of the clam's shell and not looking to eat the clam at all. I was wondering if I needed to be concerned?

Okay, I thought so. I've been watching him a bit and he's just hanging around the shell.

I do not think it will hurt the clam. My blue linkia will get on my crocea clam shell every couple of months. I think that is when certain goodies might build up on the shell that the star finds to be tasty.

That seemed to be the case. There is sponge and surely other goodies not often found by other critters in the tank. My clam is still alive and looking normal, and so is the linka.
