I'm wanting to change my lighting to t-5's, but need some help. I think I can get 2 36" bulbs and maybe 4 24" bulbs to fit in my canopy. I already have a ballast that can run t-5's, but I think it supppsed to be for 2 54W bulbs. I've asked about this before, and have been told that the bulbs would be over-driven a bit, but it shouldn't be a problem. Here's the question...

Since I want to add 4 24" bulbs to the 2 36", why couldn't I just get another ballast that runs 2 54W and have it power all 4 24" bulbs? Granted, I know nothing about this lighting stuff, but 2 54W bulbs would put out 108W right? The way I see it, 4 24W bulbs would only put out 96W, right? Seems like this would be enough to power all 4. Can I do this? If so, how would they be wired?

If I'm an idiot, please tell me. I won't take any offense. Then, tell me what I need to do. I was just thinking that MY way would probably be a lot cheaper.
