I have been somewhat out of the game for a while and wondering if this had made it into any MAASTard tanks yet. if so, whats your general impression?

I am happy w/ my new setup so I am not going to order any, i am just curious.

I got one on my mj1200 and it put out more than my Seio 1500. I love the flow.

$60 bucks GEEZ, somebody is making a killing on these things.

These things are made (tooled and dyed) from a solid piece of pvc, not a bunch of parts glued together and same for the impeller that comes complete (drop-in). I think they're pretty sweet. I got mine at Macna for $45.

Those mods are pretty solid, worth $60 IMO because they do move alot of water

It might be worth the extra money for the oceanflo. May be more reliable in the long run? Bigbird, what do you think?

My Oceanflo makes no noise. I had a DIY mod and it rattled like crazy. Because of the professional way these are built, they're the only mod I'll use. They move some crazy water.

i found a post on reefcentral where some people have been having a hard time w/ oceanflo... seems his communication isn't so good, but that may be because he's backlogged like crazy according to the people that live near him. alos had some server problems.

If you order, please be sure to let us know if it was a good experience.

Flo, the thread you posted on in the group buy forum started out as a group buy from Oceanflo. It kinda turned into a Louis can build them thread, but that has kind of died.

I have my pumps and would really like to get two of these Oceanflo mods for them ASAP.

I might be interested as well...

I never had a problem w/ a mag pump in my old tank (and housing an anemone) but now i am getting scared about it.

I think that these things might be a better solution, but I am not sure...

worst case, I would put a sponge filter on the mag drive, but I really hate to mess w/ that.

Yes please let us know. Iam definitely in for one maybe 2. I almost went through the bying process myself, but thought I'd give the group buy a little more time.

what would you guys do... oceanflo - or mag pump on a scwd.

(specifically concerning anemone safety.) tanks not drilled so I don't ahve a closed loop option.

If your anemone has a habit of moving around alot I'd definitely go with the scwd. I lost mine a couple weeks ago in my MJ mod.

ok... well I don't have the anemone yet, so I guess I will stay w/ the scwd and put a songe filter on it. (grrr) :)
