I wanted to know how whould you go by getting sand for a 150 with out buying it all. Is there somethen else you are able to do. Cause Im going to need alot. I need some for the 150g , the 10g refugium(which will be a side mount, and a bottom refugium which is going to need about 2 or 3 pounds too.

Plus I made some rock that has been sitting for about month and half. How would I go by getting them seeded. I cant put them in the tank I have now Cause I really dont have room for them in there. I made a good 50lbs or more of rock that are big pieces. And the tank I getting ready to put them in is not ready.

If some one will please help me thanks

I guess that it is time for a good ol' Southdown conversation!

Southdown sand is a play sand that most people with larger tanks were using. Its composition was clean, not as many nasties as other play sand brands. Unfortunately, Southdown has, for the most part, dissapeared from the market here in San Antonio.

Your best bet, if you wanted to find this sand, is through a fellow reefer. There must be some floating around here somewhere.
