overflow box

oky i want to get a overflow box but i think that they are really expensive i want to make my own because i am also going to have to make a custom skimmer sump if that makes since but i dont know the what mesurements would i have to use for the overflow box or how many gph a 46 gal tankwould need. got any suggestion or plans for a for a small overflow box

I don't exactly have a small overflow box but I do have a dual overflow, nice sized sump and brand new Eheim 1260 return pump kicking around.
