tank noise

Does anyone else notice their tanks making strange noises? My 180 is on a hardwood floor and at least once a night it makes a popping sound. I think it may be from the house shifting. The door that it is next to has been sticking lately. What are the chances it is waiting to explode?

Is your house pier and beam or on a slab? It is is pier and beam I would check the tank every so often with a level to see if you have some settling going on. Doubt the tank is going to explode unless you really get out of level and I think you would notice that before it blew. Finally, have you been noticing any injuries or losses of stock that could be due to a mantis or pistol shrimp.

House is on a slab. Also it is less than a year old so maybe it is shifting. The tank does look like it is level from the water line at the top, but I will check with a level. No loss of fish yet. The sound is less of a click and more of a wood crack sound.
